Edinburgh Hogmanay Celebrations

Edinburgh's Hogmanay (often misspelt Hogmany) celebrations are renowned across the globe as one of the best ways to see in the New Year.

The celebrations are actually over four days and features a torchlight procession and the infamous street party/concert.

As the clock strikes midnight for New Year's Day, the words to Robert Burns "Auld Lang Syne" are no doubt being sung across the country in homes, pubs, hotels and other place friends and families have gathered to mark the New Year.

For those not familiar with the words - Wikipedia have the full verse (as well as a Scottish pronunciation guide).

Once again, Happy New Year!
