Dundee Photographic Society - Viking Studios Portfolio Winner

Yesterday saw the annual Viking Studios Portfolio Competition at Dundee Photographic Society of which I am a member and have been for a number of years.

The competition asks participants to submit a set of four images related by theme to be judged as a portfolio and last night I came away with the top award for my images. The images were different from my typical style of work as firstly they were black & white/mono images and also all square.

It was hard selecting the images that worked together as a set but I finally settled for these fours images and displayed as per the included hanging order so that the images complimented each other on either sides.

The Viking Studios is one of the most coveted prizes in the club each year and although I have come close in the past this is the first time I have won it and I am extremely proud of it. It may not be my biggest success to date but one of the ones that means the most to me.
