Last month I had a studio shoot with Britta Benedetto. After all the studio workshops that I have done recently for fellow photographers, which have tended to focus on full-length/body shots, I wanted to focus primarily on headshots.

The sparkle in the eyes (or catchlight) was created by combining a ringflash mounted on the camera and using it in conjunction with the studio lights in order to create that 'reflection' and it has worked really well in these images as it draws your attention straight to the eyes.

There were plenty of other great shots from the shoot - far too many to post here at the same time but I will post more in future.

Oh and in case you are wondering, I used a pedestal fan to give the movement in the hair!
